Hogwarts Extreme

I can't really think of a better category for this.

Well, as you should all know by now, I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan. That's why I decided, last night, to look up "Harry Potter roleplay forums" on Google. I came across a few different sites, but the most promising was definitely Hogwarts Extreme. You can tell that the staff spends quite a bit of time on it. Although, I do have some concerns. However, I think I'll be nice and start off with what I actually like about this site because there are several good features.
  1. Enrollment - you can tell by the registration process that they're really trying to make it seem like your signing up for Hogwarts, aside from the fact that they don't really have a rulebook in any of the Harry Potter books.
  2. Every part of the site seems to have it's own layout, which makes it easier to know where you are.
  3. Like other popular RPGs, this site has a currency - however this one just uses the currency used in the actual wizarding world featured in the Harry Potter series. They have a feature called "Daily Money" which gives you a certain amount of money everyday.
  4. Easy-to-access "lessons" and "assignments"

But like I said, there are some aspects that I dislike.
  1. Their sorting system is bogus. You pretty much write an essay based on your likes and dislikes. How does that sort you into the right house? Something like sorting should be psychology-based. Basing it on likes and dislikes is not accurate at all. Look at Hermione, Harry, and Ron! Their interests are extremely different, aside from the fact that they all hate Lord Voldemort.
  2. The class registration process is somewhat confusing. You have to check the boxes next to the class you wish to take and then click submit. The page then refreshes, but it never says anything about being enrolled in the class.
  3. They don't have alerts saying that the next lesson is posted. You have to actually look at the announcements. And if you're like me, I'm sure you'd rather not do that.
  4. Point counts don't seem to start over each school year. It should, because that's how it is in the actual series. If Ravenclaw wins the house cup, it has a higher chance of winning it the next year. Having the point count at zero at the start of each year would be beneficial because it gives the other houses a chance to win.

Now I'm done!

By the way, I'm most likely only ranting about the sorting thing because they placed me in Hufflepuff. I'm only loyal to those I truly care about, not to everyone. That's probably the one house I don't belong in.

Acting without thinking - Gryffindors
Top 10% of class and all honors and AP - Ravenclaw

I don't think I included things that could put me in Slytherin in my application since it didn't ask any psychology-based questions. I was sorted into Slytherin with the last quiz I took and it was psychology-based, therefore it would be more accurate. Hogwarts Extreme should ask that quiz developer if they could develop something like that FOR them.
